This book had me laughing out loud and on the edge of me seat in equal parts. A friend grabbed it for me at a Gen Con and got it not only signed, but also got the author to notate the undies wearing Wil Wheaton paper doll for me (I have a thing, there are reasons, long story). I now have to get the rest of this series and will be on the lookout for more. If you like comics, pop culture, and nerdom in general, you will LOVE this book and author! I wish I could give it more stars! Hit buy. Right now!

This book is a wild romp through nerd/con culture. I did enjoy it, though I'm not sure about some of the added elements.
I came into this expecting a buddy cop procedural set at a comic convention. What I got was that, but also; toilets to hell, furries at war, destructive Baptists, Randon Alan Tudyk side quests, and an annoying Deadpool cosplayer who has no moral compass.
These random side stories, while fun, detracted from the overall story for me. I like my mysteries to stay on topic. They also ruined the realism. I know crazy stuff happened at Cons, but come on, portals to hell do not show up in the toilet?
The author/narrator did a great job of capturing the voices of the real world actors who cameo in the story, (I wonder if they will agree to play themselves in a movie version.) The rest o the voice acting was fun to listen to as each character had a unique voice and they played off each other in a convincing way.
if you like cons, murder mysteries, or nerd culture then you will like this.

As if cons weren't already larger than life, this takes it to the next level. And a n00b gets a front row seat. Enjoy!!

A romp through a Comic-Con milieu with sly and irreverent nods to Star Trek, LOTR , Star Wars, and more that I'm sure I missed. I have to admit I'd put off reading this, and I'm sorry. I can't wait to go read more by this author.

Fantastic book! I love the characters and the mystery. There are so many easter eggs in this story! I'm not going to share any of them; suffice it to say, if you're not a nerd, you won't get them. This book was clearly written for nerds by a nerd, and it is wonderful!

Funny exciting. Now I have to figure out which collection to add it to. Is it fantasy, science fiction, recursive I have no clue

This is one of the most enjoyable books.i have read this year. At first I was not sure about the subject matter but once I started reading this book, I was hooked. It is simply brilliant. The story flows smoothly, filled with witty dialogue, laugh-out-loud narrative, action, mystery, kooky characters and a suspenseful mystery all set in the science fiction world of a convention. I loved the addition of the dolls. I read the book twice now and laughed all the way through it. To me it is a cult classic in the making. Absolutely fantastic writing!!! I can not wait to read more from this author.
