Pan, the Pirate

What if Peter grew up—and in this loss of innocence became the very thing that he hated: a pirate?

I don’t typically write derivative fiction, but J.M. Barrie’s Peter Pan was a huge favorite of mine as an older child. When Peter Pan turned old enough and Barrie’s story became a work of public domain (in the earlier 2000’s) a few Peter Pan stories were released that paid homage to Barrie and I wrote one. This was originally published by Allegory in 2008 and is one of the first short stories I ever sold, in fact.
